Summer Soccer Opportunities

Boston Summer 7s

This FREE program offers kids in Boston an opportunity to play and enjoy the game in a low-pressure, fun environment. We do minimal coaching beyond organizing the games and getting the kids into teams to allow the kids the freedom to express themselves and enjoy the beautiful game.

Summer Camp

The kids will be separated by age, ability and gender depending on the enrollment numbers each week. For the older kids U13 (2009) and above, I recommend registering for the half-day option. I will be running the sessions for this group and they will be rigorous, with a focus on speed, strength and technical skills (dribbling, shooting, passing). The older kids are certainly welcome to do the full day if they want to.

SPRING 2021 HOUSE LEAGUE IS ON!

Dorchester Youth Soccer would like to thank you for your patience as we navigate the challenges presented by COVID-19. After consulting with BAYS and MYSA, our governing bodies, we will move forward with a reduced-capacity Spring 2021 House League.

The safety of our players, coaches, volunteers, and spectators is our top priority. DYS will adhere to all safety protocols set forward by MYSA:

  • The 2021 Spring House League season will be a 6-week season (May 3-June 13, 2021).
  • The number of teams in each age group will be reduced to meet the guidelines set forth by MYSA to ensure proper social distancing.
  • All players will be required to wear a facial covering that completely covers their nose and mouth.
  • Coaches, referees, volunteers, spectators, and other officials are required to wear facial coverings and maintain a social distance of 6 feet from other persons at all times.
  • For this guidance, a facial covering means a face mask that completely covers the nose and mouth. Only face coverings that secure with loops around ears are acceptable. Masks with exhalation valves or vents (including mesh masks), neck gaiters, and balaclavas are not acceptable and should NOT be worn by anybody.
  • Those refusing to wear a proper facial covering will be asked to leave the grounds of Pope John Paul Park.
  • All players, coaches, and volunteers will be required to complete all components of registration before the season begins.
  • There will be no registration at Pope John Paul Park.  No exceptions will be made.
  • There must be 6’ feet of social distancing between spectators.
  • Spectators are limited to one person per athlete.
  • Check for normal temperature before going to the fields. Please stay home if you or your player has a temperature of 100.4 or higher.
  • Stay home if you or a member of your household has been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or who has shown symptoms in the past 14 days.
  • If any participant has signs or symptoms of COVID-19 they will be sent home and instructed to contact their healthcare provider. They will not be allowed to return until they are cleared by a healthcare provider. A doctor’s note must be provided.
  • All players and spectators must leave the field immediately after the conclusion of their game.

Final details on our Return To Play plan will be posted in the weeks to come. While we are excited to return to the pitch, it will take a community effort to be successful in providing this opportunity for the youth of Dorchester. We ask for your patience and flexibility as we move forward together.
