Dorchester Youth Soccer is hoping to have a Spring 2021 House League. We are currently looking into obtaining permits for the fields at Pope John Paul Park.  If we have a season, we will have to limit the numbers. Please register before the deadline as there will be absolutely no exceptions this year.

STAY TUNED FOR MORE DETAILS.  We will update you when we have more information.  In the meantime, please keep safe and stay healthy.

Dorchester Soccer Families:

After several lengthy discussions, consultations with other Boston area soccer clubs, and listening to the Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association protocols and guidelines for returning to soccer safely, the Board of Directors has decided to CANCEL the Fall House and Travel seasons.  We do not feel that we can adequately abide by the rules AND provide safe soccer for our players and families.  Feel free to browse the MYSA website to check out the new rules:  https://www.mayouthsoccer.org/return-to-soccer-activities/

We will be in touch If at some point in the future we feel that we can safely offer some soccer clinics.

In the meantime, please stay safe.

DYS Board of Directors

Return to Play Update - July 24, 2020

       - AS OF JULY 24, 2020 -

The status of DYS Fall Soccer is still to be determined.  Please read the information below from MYSA.

  • From the Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association website: "The Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs has amended the Safety and Reopening Standards for Business and other Entities Providing Youth and Adult Amateur Sports Activities – Phase III, Step 1.

  • Even though this news is exciting for our sport, we cannot stress enough the importance of the responsibilities we have to our children and all families involved in our sport for their health, safety, and well-being. This is a privilege we have been given and we must stay true to our word that we will follow the CDC, State DPH, US Soccer, and local guidelines in all that we do.

  • Soccer is now classified in the Moderate Risk Sport category, member organizations are permitted to participate in Level 1, 2, and 3 type of play."

  • August and fall plans are in formation as per an update from Mass Youth Soccer as of July 24, 2020.
